What does it mean to feel Super Unemployable?
I am on a quest to understand what it means to be Super Unemployable. In each unfiltered episode, I sit down with people who have forged their own paths, embracing the freedom and challenges of defying traditional career norms. These are the stories of resilience, innovation, creativity, and unwavering determination.
Dean Horsfield coined the term “Super Unemployable” in 2010 during an investor pitch, long before it became a mindset embraced by entrepreneurs and rebels around the world.
What started as an offhand comment about being “too independent, too curious, and too driven to ever work for someone else” became a personal philosophy—and then a global conversation. In 2024, Dean launched The Super Unemployable Podcast to spotlight others like him: the creators, misfits, and visionaries who don’t fit into traditional roles—because they were built to lead, not follow.
Super Unemployable isn’t a weakness. It’s your edge. And Dean named it.
